Nicole Pesta, M.Ed.

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Nicole is passionate about helping individuals create and achieve personal, occupational, and relational meaning in their lives. She enjoys collaborating with her clients, helping them navigate a process of self-discovery while they design a career and life plan that aligns with their vision and values.

In addition to her experience with career counselling, Nicole has experience helping individuals struggling with boundaries, trauma, addiction, emotional regulation, anxiety, OCD, depression, sexual compulsivity, and relational discourse. She does not shy away from traditionally taboo topics, and has focused much of her education on the topics of human sexuality and intimate relationships, including her final capstone, ‘Polyamory: a Guide for Canadian Counsellors’.

Nicole is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologist’s Association of Alberta. Along with obtaining a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Calgary, Nicole also holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. She completed a nine month internship in Arizona at Psychological Counseling Services, working with individuals, couples, and groups. She has worked and volunteered at several Calgary agencies, providing support to individuals healing from trauma, navigating transitions, seeking career clarity, and overcoming personal struggles.
