Michael is a Registered Psychologist in both British Columbia and Alberta, based out of Victoria and Duncan where he sees clients in-person, as well as seeing clients for virtual sessions throughout both provinces.

He has been a practicing Career Counsellor and Therapist since 2003, with a focus on career, trauma, and life issues including anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. Michael also has extensive experience working with LGBTQ gender and sexually diverse community members, military personnel, first responders, as well as First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples.

Michael holds a Ph.D. in the Centre for Cross Faculty Inquiry in Education from the University of British Columbia, focused on Counselling, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Psychology focused on Clinical Psychology. As an educator, Michael has been a sessional instructor at various universities including the University of Victoria, University of British Columbia, and the University of Lethbridge since 2015.

Michael also provides Personal Counselling through our Synthesis Psychology practice. His areas of focus are trauma and PTSD, couples and relationships, gender and sexual diversity, and life transitions.
