Avra Davidoff, M.C.
Avra is a Senior Associate at Calgary Career Counselling and joined the practice soon after its founding. She has over a decade of experience in the career development field working both with individuals and corporations on career development engagement initiatives. In addition to providing counselling and consulting services, Avra has extensive experience designing and facilitating workshops and has developed various in house resources and processes to assist clients in career counselling. She often works with early and mid-career adults, senior leaders and executives as well as parents re-integrating to paid employment. Avra regularly contributes to media on a variety of career development topics.
Avra is passionate about helping others explore their career interests and believes self-awareness is one of the keys to making informed career and life decisions. She uses a combination of discussion, self-directed exercises, and assessments to assist clients in developing and increasing their self-awareness. She injects humour into her work and is known for challenging clients to generate awareness, affect change and invite new perspective.
Avra holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology from the University of British Columbia, and also holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, with a career counselling specialization, from the Graduate Centre for Applied Psychology at Athabasca University. Avra is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and is also a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
