Throughout her career, Avery has worked with a diverse group of clients and assisted these individuals while they navigate the complex demands of life transitions. Avery is passionate about supporting clients on their career journey, whether it be planning and pursuing a new career path, transitioning into a new role, or developing and achieving career goals. She collaborates with clients to enact change within their lives in ways that will be both personally and professionally rewarding. Avery also works with clients to overcome the impacts that can result from life and career transitions such as anxiety, depression, and changes in identity and self-esteem.

Avery’s warm and authentic approach to counselling is focused on empowering clients by highlighting strengths and values as a catalyst for growth. A curious and pragmatic counsellor, Avery enjoys exploring with clients how to make career decisions that align with their values.

Avery is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She holds a Master of Counselling degree in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary.

Avery also offers personal counselling through our Synthesis Psychology practice (visit). Her areas of specialty include managing depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as supporting clients with self-esteem and identity concerns.
